In July of 1967 we released "With A Lot O' Soul", one of our top-charting albums. Although we always strive to make an emotional impact with our recordings, it's always strange to witness the actual effects. I recall Sandra Tilley, a onetime Velvelette and future Vandella, sitting at my house and crying her eyes out over a beautiful song that Eddie sang called "Two Sides Of Love." We'd sit on my beige-and-brown checkered fur bedroom rug, and Sandra would play that tune over and over again.This album also contains "Just One Last Look" -- what I personally think to be one of David's best vocal performances ever recorded. And Paul who deserved more chances at singing lead delivers the goods on "No More Water In The Well."
