Released in August of 1999 “20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection Vol. 1 The '60s (The Best of the Temptations)” contains the song “My Girl.” When I hear “My Girl” I remember Bing Crosby and his great interpretation of the song. In the 60’s we did a lot of television appearances and of all the television appearances we made then, the one that I’ll never forget is “The Hollywood Palace” with host Bing Crosby. We all admired his singing, so it was quite an honor to be on the show with him. The highlight was when he sang “My Girl” with us, trading off lines with David Ruffin. The minute he started to sing, “I’ve got sunshine, “I said, “Whoa!” It jus blew me away. He approached the song with a whole different attitude, almost a reverence. It was all I could do to keep my mind on what I was doing and not stand there with my mouth hanging open.
